Daniel A. Groves

ABOUT
Daniel Groves graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 2005 with a degree in Philosophy / Pre-Law and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor’s Society, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Program and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Mr. Groves earned his Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2009. His areas of legal concentration are in Litigation, Personal Injury, Medical Provider, Wrongful Death, Negligence, Family Law, Contracts, Construction and Criminal Defense. Prior to earning his degree, Daniel served in the United States Marine Corps. and was awarded an honorable discharge with the Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Deployment Medal and Marine Sharp-Shooter’s Badge.
Before going into the practice of civil law, Daniel spent nearly two years at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in the Juvenile Justice Division, Elderly Abuse & Embezzlement Unit, and the Arson Unit. Since then, he has practiced for over a decade in personal injury and Michigan No-Fault Law. When it comes to law, Daniel is an aggressive litigator, but is also very personable, open, communicative and has a lively sense of humor being he was one of ten kids growing up in Northville, MI.
Believing that our most important future assets are our children, Daniel volunteered for the Wayne County Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA) for abused, displaced and foster children. He has been a Red Cross blood and Apheresis donor for four decades.
Daniel is happily married to Attorney Moira Ogedegbe-Groves for nearly a decade and busy with raising their three children. When not representing his clients at the Kajy Law Firm, he enjoys spending time on family outings, music, watching and attending football games, is an avid Batman collector for over 40 years, and is a chess aficionado who is always welcoming of a new challenger.
